There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Padova V. (7-9) defeated at home higher ranked Fiorenzuola (8-8) 84-76 on Sunday. Point guard Giacomo Cecchinato (186-1) fired 25 points for the winners. The former international point guard Francesco De Nicolao (185-93) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Padova V. players scored in double figures. Forward Federico Ricci (196-97) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Padova V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Monfalcone. Fiorenzuola lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Padova V. will meet higher ranked Vicenza (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fiorenzuola will play against Desio and hope to secure a win.
