Regular Season Round 16: Ammerud Bskt - Baerum Basket 88-111
Date: January 25, 2022
Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Baerum Basket (11-8) rolled over 8th ranked Ammerud Bskt (4-11) in Oslo 111-88 on Tuesday. Baerum Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The winners were led by German Philipp Schwethelm (201-89) who scored that evening 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American-New Zealand power forward Shane Temara (205-95, college: N.Texas) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Baerum Basket's coach Mathias Eckhoff felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Jordan Session (203-96, college: Georgia St.) did not help to save the game for Ammerud Bskt. Swedish swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) added 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Baerum Basket maintains fifth position with 11-8 record. Ammerud Bskt lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Baerum Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Gimle BBK in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ammerud Bskt will play against Tromso (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
