Very expected game when 14th ranked Giulianova (3-14) was crushed on the road by first ranked Roseto (15-2) 97-53 on Wednesday. Roseto made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Giulianova turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Giulianova's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Serbian Aleksa Nikolic (205-99) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Alberto Serafini (199-93) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Gianluca Pierucci (-0) produced 16 points and power forward Luigi Cianci (201-0) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Roseto. They maintain first place with 15-2 record, which they share with Agrigento. Giulianova lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Borgomanero. Roseto will meet at home RO Luiss (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Giulianova will play against Ozzano in Ozzano dell Emilia and hope to secure a win.
