Regular Season Round 22: Handlova - Komarno 86-66

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Komarno (14-8) against sixth ranked Handlova (9-11) on Wednesday night. Visiting Komarno was crushed by Handlova in Handlova 86-66. They made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Handlova forced 21 Komarno turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Komarno's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Tomas Mrvis (200-91, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. American forward Deandre Abram (203-97, college: Milwaukee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Luka Gasic (195-98) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Jorden Duffy (185-96, college: N.Texas) added 17 points in the effort for Komarno. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Handlova maintains sixth position with 9-11 record. Newly promoted Komarno keeps the second place with eight games lost. Handlova will play against Iskra Svit (#7) on the road in the next round. Komarno will play against Spisski Rytieri (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
