Regular Season Round 16: Gimle BBK - Kongsberg 97-95

Important game to mention about took place in Bergen. Second ranked Gimle BBK (15-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Kongsberg (12-6) 97-95 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kongsberg. Gimle BBK players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Reidar Greve (184-2) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and Serbian-Montenegrin center Milovan Savic (205-87) who added 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian guard Ognjen Nisavic (195-92, agency: Jones Sports International) responded with a triple-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 10 assists and Croatian Marin Mornar (205-93, college: LMU) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 15-3 record behind leader Froya Basket. Kongsberg at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Fyllingen BBK. Gimle BBK will play against Baerum Basket (#5) in Bekkestua in the next round. Kongsberg will play at home against Fyllingen BBK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
