Second Stage Round 4: Celje - Buducnost 75-67

Round 4 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Montenegrin Buducnost (7-1). They were defeated by second ranked Slovenian Celje (8-1) 75-67 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Buducnost. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian forward Isabela Lyra (180-94) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (made all of her eight free throws) and Marusa Senicar (187-97) who added 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Celje players scored in double figures. Celje's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian Mina Djordjevic (188-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and Dragana Zivkovic (183-1) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Defending Slovenian champion keeps a position of league leader. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Celje. Buducnost will play next round against Badel trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Celje will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Triglav in Kranj.
