An interesting game for Peli-Karhut (16-2) which played road game in Helsinki against 4th ranked Marsky Helsinki (10-7). First ranked Peli-Karhut managed to get a 10-point victory 79-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Marsky Helsinki. The game was mostly controlled by Peli-Karhut. Marsky Helsinki managed to win third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Peli-Karhut looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Zykera Rice (185-96, college: Gonzaga) supported her with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by international forward Henna Sandvik (183-3) did not help to save the game for Marsky Helsinki. The former international guard Elina Aarnisalo (176-5) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Peli-Karhut and four Marsky Helsinki players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Peli-Karhut have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Loser Marsky Helsinki keeps the fourth place with seven games lost.
