Regular Season Round 11: DCU Saints - Ballincollig 73-90

Leader Ballincollig delivered the tenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Saints (1-9) 90-73 in Dublin. Ballincollig looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Andre Nation (196, college: JMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Adrian OSullivan (187-93) helped adding 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ballincollig's coach Kieran O'Sullivan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Benjamin Durox responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Kevin Lacey (192-89) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Saints players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Ballincollig. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Saints lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Ballincollig will meet at home Killorglin (#5) in the next round. Saints' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin UCD Marian.
