Regular Season Round 13: Tarbes - Angers 77-73

We should mention about the upset which took place in Tarbes, where higher ranked Angers (6-7) lost to eleventh ranked Tarbes (4-9) in a road game 73-77 on Saturday. Tarbes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Julie Wojta (185-89, college: Green Bay) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Czech center Renata Brezinova (190-90, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-90, college: UIC) responded with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Breanna Richardson (185-95, college: MSU) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Tarbes moved-up to tenth place. Newly promoted Angers dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Tarbes will meet higher ranked Roche (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Angers will play against Charnay and hope to secure a win.
