There was no surprise when 10th ranked Laarne (1-11) was crushed at home by second ranked Kangoeroes (12-2) 87-43 on Saturday. Kangoeroes dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Laarne's 18. Kangoeroes forced 21 Laarne turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Billie Massey (184-0) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and international Becky Massey (186-0) who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Marie Van Den Broucke (180-96) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Ilse Deforche (173-92) scored 9 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kangoeroes maintains second position with 12-2 record behind leader Castors Braine. Laarne lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. Kangoeroes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Laarne will play against Spirou (#8) in Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
