Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Cd'Orlando (6-9) won against 13th ranked Biella (3-11) in Capo d'Orlando 95-91 on Sunday. Cd'Orlando looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cd'Orlando made 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Tevin Mack (198-97, college: Clemson) who led the winners and scored 38 points (!!!). His fellow American import forward Nick King (201-95, college: MTSU) accounted for 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American Steven Davis (203-93, college: Wright St., agency: Players Group) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and guard Matteo Pollone (191-99, agency: Players Group) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Biella in the defeat. Four Biella players scored in double figures. Biella's coach Andrea Zanchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cd'Orlando moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser Biella keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Cd'Orlando will meet higher ranked Torino (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biella will play against Monferrato (#4) and hope to secure a win.
