No shocking result in a game in Nazareth where sixth ranked H.Afula (9-7) defeated 13th ranked H.Izrael (5-11) 86-75 on Tuesday. They outrebounded H.Izrael 51-36 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for American center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: SHSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 22 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) helped adding 21 points and 7 assists. At the losing side Rom Cornelius (197-93) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Raven Barber (206-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: Slash Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four H.Izrael players scored in double figures. H.Afula maintains sixth place with 9-7 record, which they share with M.Haifa. H.Izrael lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. H.Afula will meet at home higher ranked E.Kiryat Ata (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
