Regular Season Round 18: Torun - Lublin 69-93
Date: February 2, 2022
EBLK top team - Lublin (11-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Katarzynki (2-14) in Torun 93-69. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lublin made 8 blocks. American power forward Natasha Mack (193-97, college: OK State, agency: LBM Management) notched 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the effort and the former international point guard Zuzanna Sklepowicz (173-96) supported her with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Lublin's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds by British forward Evelyn Adebayo (185-96, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Katarzynki. Point guard Marta Nowicka (171-97) added 15 points and 7 assists. Five Lublin and four Katarzynki players scored in double figures. Lublin have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory Lublin went down to second position due to points difference. Katarzynki lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 14 games lost. Lublin will meet at home Poznan (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Katarzynki will play against the league's leader Polkowice and hope to secure a win.
