Very predictable result in Uusikaupunki where third ranked Seagulls (15-7) smashed bottom-ranked Korihait (2-18) 96-70. The game without a history. Seagulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Antti Kanervo (193-89, agency: Blacktop Management) who led the winners and scored 15 points. Guard Lassi Nikkarinen (187-97, college: Montana St.) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Seagulls' coach Jussi Laakso felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Trey Zeigler (198-91, college: TCU) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jarett Croff (208-94, college: AUM, agency: Haylett Sports) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Korihait in the defeat. Seagulls maintains third place with 15-7 record having five points less than leader Kauhajoki. Korihait lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
