The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked San Martino's (8-6) home victory over 8th ranked San Giovanni (7-9) 69-61 on Saturday. The victory was the third consecutive win for San Martino. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Campobasso. Loser San Giovanni keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. San Martino will meet at home higher ranked Venezia (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Giovanni will play against the league's second-placed Lucca (#2) and hope to secure a win.
