Regular Season Round 23: Les Sables - Rennes 73-58

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Les Sables (11-11) beat 13th ranked Union Rennes (6-16) in Les Sables-D'Ollone 73-58 on Saturday. Les Sables looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Finnish center Daniel Dolenc (205-93, agency: Blacktop Management) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Brahim Dohou (194-99) accounted for 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side. Four Les Sables players scored in double figures. Point guard Lucas Fontaine (180-96) came up with 10 points and 4 assists and forward Joffrey Sclear (200-95) added 12 points respectively for Union Rennes in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Les Sables moved-up to sixth place in Group A. Union Rennes lost fourth consecutive game. Union Rennes at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Les Sables will meet La Rochelle (#7) on the road in the next round. Union Rennes will play against Pontoise (#8) and hope to secure a win.
