Important game to mention about took place in Warszawa. Seventh ranked Polonia W-wa (7-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Wroclaw (10-6) 77-75 on Saturday evening. Polonia W-wa forced 24 Wroclaw turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Polonia W-wa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The former international Klaudia Sosnowska (186-90) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Loryn Goodwin (171-94, college: OK State) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Polonia W-wa's coach Maciej Gordon allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Julia Drop (174-95) with 19 points and 9 assists and Slovakian forward Michaela Fekete (190-94, college: USF) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Polonia W-wa maintains seventh position with 7-6 record. Wroclaw at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Polonia W-wa will play against bottom-ranked GTK Gdynia (#11) on the road in the next round. Wroclaw will play against Sosnowiec (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
