Very expected game when 16th ranked Estudiantes B (4-11) lost on the road to ninth ranked Socuellamos (9-9) 78-73 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian point guard Adrian Armstrong (183, college: Concordia) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) accounted for 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Socuellamos' coach Gabriel Martinez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Hector Figueroa (194-1) came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Pablo Orenga (205-3) added 15 points respectively for Estudiantes B in the defeat. Socuellamos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in Group B. Loser Estudiantes B keeps the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Socuellamos will meet higher ranked Rivas (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Estudiantes B's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Real Madrid 2.
