Regular Season Round 19: Porrino - Ourense 83-75

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Porrino (14-5) defeated at home 12th ranked Ourense (7-12) 83-75 on Saturday. Porrino made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Ourense turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Iker Besada (180-95) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Power forward Javier Dominguez (199-94) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Porrino players scored in double figures. Ivorian guard Lionel Kouadio (191-1) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Josep Cera (187-3) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Ourense in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Porrino maintains third place in Group A-B with 14-5 record having just three point less than leader Lliria. Ourense lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Porrino will meet Avila (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ourense will play against Leon (#5) and hope to secure a win.
