Regular Season Round 21: Lima-Horta - Joventut 49-59

We should mention about the upset which took place in Barcelona, where higher ranked Lima-Horta (9-10) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Joventut (7-13) 49-59 on Saturday. American-Dominican guard Dominique Toussaint (175-98, college: Virginia) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and forward Mireia Vila (182-91, college: St.Joseph's) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Eliana Soriano (175-89) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Maria Martianez (188-97, college: ORU) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Joventut moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Real Canoe. Lima-Horta at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Joventut will meet at home higher ranked Jairis (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lima-Horta will play against Celta Zorka (#7) in Vigo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
