Regular Season Round 19: Campobasso - Broni 78-52

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Broni (3-13) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Campobasso (8-6) 78-52 on Saturday. Campobasso forced 24 Broni turnovers. It was a great evening for Croatian Nina Premasunac (188-92, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. American swingman Robyn Parks (185-92, college: VCU) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Campobasso players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Janae Smith (188-92, college: UAB) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Virginia Galbiati (173-92) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Broni's coach Andrea Castelli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Campobasso maintains sixth place with 8-6 record, which they share with San Martino. Broni lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Campobasso will meet higher ranked Venezia (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Broni will play against San Martino (#7) and hope to secure a win.
