There was an upset when higher ranked Gijon (8-8) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Marbella (5-11) 69-61 on Saturday. The winners were led by American guard Taylor Cameron (196-91, college: Winona St., agency: Promo Sport ID) who scored that evening 16 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian Emil Savic (200-98) supported him with 15 points. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by swingman Unai Mendicote (196-99) did not help to save the game for Gijon. American-Italian point guard Anthony Libroia (180-94, college: Adelphi) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Marbella moved-up to twelfth place in Silver. Loser Gijon keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Marbella will meet at home higher ranked Clavijo (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gijon will play against Cantabria (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
