Regular Season Round 24: Handlova - Prievidza 93-101

Bottom-ranked Prievidza managed to get a fourth victory on Saturday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Handlova 101-93. Worth to mention a great performance of international Matej Majercak (188-99) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 assists and Serbian forward Luka Dmitrovic (201-94, college: Faulkner) who added 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Prievidza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Deandre Abram (203-97, college: Milwaukee) with 32 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: SJSU, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists. Prievidza maintains eighth position with 4-19 record. Handlova at the other side keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. Prievidza are looking forward to face higher ranked Spisski Rytieri (#4) in Nova Ves in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Handlova will play at home against Lucenec and is hoping to win this game.
