Gran Canaria outrebounded Estudiantes 42-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by Mali power forward Sika Kone (190-2002) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds and American swingman Maya Caldwell (180-1998, college: Georgia) supported her with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Nadia Fingall (191-1998, college: Stanford) did not help to save the game for Estudiantes. Her fellow American import guard Arica Carter (173-1996, college: Louisville) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Gran Canaria maintains eleventh position with 7-12 record.
