Very predictable result when first ranked Valdarno (12-3) smashed on the road 8th ranked Vigarano (6-8) 88-51 on Sunday. Valdarno dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Vigarano's 24. Valdarno forced 20 Vigarano turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Valdarno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Slovenian Tina Cvijanovic (180-98) fired 19 points and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Elena Ramo (183-94) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Valdarno players scored in double figures. Guard Giulia Sorrentino (175-98) produced 17 points and swingman Lucrezia Coser (177-98) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valdarno maintains first position in A2 with 12-3 record. Loser Vigarano dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Valdarno will meet at home league's second-placed La Spezia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vigarano will play against Capri (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
