Regular Season Round 20: H.Afula - E.Kiryat Ata 97-98

Important game to mention about took place in Afula. Fifth ranked E.Kiryat Ata (11-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked H.Afula (9-8) 98-97 on Sunday evening. E.Kiryat Ata players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: FAMU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kenney Funderburk (193-92, college: Columbus St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who added 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Center Michael Holyfield (211-92, college: SHSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) and point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) scored 17 points and 7 assists. Four E.Kiryat Ata and five H.Afula players scored in double figures. E.Kiryat Ata moved-up to fourth place. H.Afula at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. E.Kiryat Ata will play against I.Ramat Gan (#5) at home in the next round. H.Afula will play against M.Hod Hasharon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
