Regular Season Round 19: Monaco - Gravelines 97-85

Very expected game when 9th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (9-9) lost on the road to second ranked Monaco (12-6) 97-85 on Sunday. Monaco made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Monaco had a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Guinean-American forward Alpha Diallo (201-97, college: Providence) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Donta Hall (208-97, college: Alabama) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winning side. Monaco's coach Sasa Obradovic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Brandon Taylor (178-94, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and Senegalese center Abdoulaye Ndoye (207-95) added 15 points and 9 assists respectively for Gravelines-Dunkerque in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Monaco maintains second place with 12-6 record having just three points less than leader Levallois, which they share with ASVEL. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Limoges CSP. Monaco will meet ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
