Very expected game when 17th ranked Turow (2-18) was smashed by third ranked Kotwica (16-5) in Zgorzelec 92-54 on Sunday. Kotwica made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Turow turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (188-96) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Point guard Karol Kutta (182-96) accounted for 11 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Point guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Filip Pruefer (208-96) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Turow in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica maintains third place with 16-5 record behind leader Lancut. Turow lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. Kotwica will meet at home Pelplin (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Turow will play against Krakow and hope to secure a win.
