Regular Season Round 18: Amphora - Zaprude 67-63

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Zaprude (3-13) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Amphora (3-13) 67-63 on Sunday. American point guard Donald Morris (180-93) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Srecko Boksic (202-95) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Morris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Dorian Jelenek (200-95) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Slovenian guard Bruno Peric (194-94) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Zaprude's coach Zivko Ljubojevic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Amphora moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Zaprude. Zaprude lost fourth consecutive game. Amphora will meet higher ranked Kvarner 2010 (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zaprude will play against the league's leader Dinamo (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
