There was an upset when higher ranked Savona (7-6) was crushed at home by twelfth ranked Capri (5-9) 84-62 on Sunday. Capri forced 20 Savona turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Savona's players. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Natalia Rios (175-80) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Dubravka Dacic (201-85) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Capri players scored in double figures. Guard Lucrezia Zanetti (178-97, agency: Interperformances) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and Bulgarian center Hristina Tyutyundzhieva (190-93) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Capri moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Savona at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Capri will meet at home higher ranked Vigarano (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Savona will play against Firenze having rather not much hope for a victory.
