Regular Season Round 19: Majadahonda - Alcobendas 50-66

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Alcobendas (11-8) beat on the road 15th ranked Majadahonda (5-12) 66-50 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Alberto de la Torre (201-94) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Jorge Tejera (200-92) accounted for 6 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Raul Perez (194-92) came up with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jose Maria Fernandez (191-99) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Majadahonda in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alcobendas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in Group B with 11-8 record. Majadahonda lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Alcobendas will meet at home Zentro Basket 2 (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Majadahonda will play against Quintanar (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
