Important game to mention about took place in Lund. Sixth ranked Alvik Basket (10-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked IK Eos (8-10) 70-68 on Wednesday evening. It was a great evening for the former international forward Elin Ljunggren (185-96) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Dara Taylor (171-91, college: Penn St.) helped adding 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side Sofie Ljungcrantz (176-97) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Jayde Christopher (173-97, college: Boise St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists. Alvik Basket maintains sixth place with 10-8 record. IK Eos at the other side keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Alvik Basket will play against league's second-placed Dolphins in Norrkoping in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IK Eos will play on the road against A3 Basket (#4) in Umea and hope to get back on the winning track.
