Everything went according to plan when second ranked Lublin (13-3) outscored at home 9th ranked Poznan (3-13) 92-68 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Poznan 47-30 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Poznan's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Kamiah Smalls (178-1998, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Natasha Mack (193-1997, college: OK State, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Lublin's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Chennedy Carter (170-1998, college: Texas A&M) produced 26 points and point guard Michaela Houser (170-1991, college: Purdue) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Lublin maintains second place with 13-3 record behind leader Polkowice. Poznan at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Lublin will meet Polonia W-wa (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Poznan will play against the league's leader Polkowice and hope to secure a win.
