Not a big story in a game in Reykjavik where 11th ranked Vestri (3-12) was outplayed by ninth ranked KR (7-7) 106-79 on Thursday. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vestri's 28. KR had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vestri's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Finnish Carl Lindbom (206-91, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Danish guard Adama Darboe (190-86, agency: Slash Sports) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 16 assists during the contest. Coach Helgi Magnusson's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (205-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Ken-Jah Bosley (184-95, college: KWC) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. KR moved-up to seventh place. Vestri lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. KR will meet higher ranked Stjarnan (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vestri will play against Tindastoll (#8) and hope to secure a win.
