Regular Season Round 17: Huima - Jyvaskyla BA 91-71

Very expected game when 10th ranked Jyvaskyla BA (4-11) was smashed by fourth ranked Huima (10-7) in Aanekoski 91-71 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Huima. Jyvaskyla BA managed to win fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Jyvaskyla BA outrebounded Huima 41-26 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Huima looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Tray Boyd III (193-98, college: ETSU) nailed 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winning side and Kalle Kalin (200-0) accounted for 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Huima players scored in double figures. Power forward Ville Virtaharju (201-0) came up with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Kalle Koivunen (190-2) added 15 points respectively for Jyvaskyla BA in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Huima have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 10-7 record. Jyvaskyla BA lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Huima will meet HBA-Marsky (#7) in the next round. Jyvaskyla BA will play against Kristika Turku and hope to secure a win.
