Regular Season Round 17: SBBK - Eskilstuna 79-67

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked SBBK (3-10) beat 4th placed Eskilstuna (10-2) in Sodertalje 79-67 on Thursday. SBBK forced 21 Eskilstuna turnovers. Guard William Kermoury (192-4) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds for the winning side and forward Simon Skott (196-2) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Lojong Ladu (201-99, college: Cuesta JC) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Adam Karahmetovic (189-98) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Eskilstuna in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted SBBK maintains ninth place with 3-10 record. Loser Eskilstuna keeps the fourth position with two games lost. SBBK will meet higher ranked Hammarby (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eskilstuna will play against the league's leader Djurgarden and will have a slim chance for a victory.
