Regular Season Round 17: Holon - Rishon LZ 95-90

The game between third ranked Rishon LZ (11-5) and eighth ranked Holon (5-11) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Rishon LZ was defeated by Holon in a tough game in Holon 90-95. Holon outrebounded Rishon LZ 34-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Rennia Davis (188-99, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Alexis Jones (175-94, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Holon players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Roni Gopher (166-4) responded with 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and American guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Holon maintains eighth place with 5-11 record. Rishon LZ at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
