Fourth ranked Hapoel Haifa (8-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Galil Elion (8-7) 72-70 in the game for the fifth place. Hapoel Haifa outrebounded Galil Elion 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (181-1986, agency: Pro Sports) stepped up and scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American forward Scottie James Jr (202-1996, college: Liberty) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Romanian guard Omer Tal (190-1992) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and American forward Bryce Washington (201-1996, college: La-Lafayette) scored 14 points. Five Galil Elion players scored in double figures. Galil Elion's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Haifa have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Hapoel Haifa went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with H.Tel-Aviv and H.Galil Elion. Hapoel Haifa will play against league's leader Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
