Not a big story in a game in Kolobrzeg where 14th ranked Pelplin (7-15) was defeated by third ranked Kotwica (17-5) 75-60 on Saturday. Kotwica shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Remon Nelson (175-90, college: USC Aiken) who scored 25 points. Mikolaj Kurpisz (203-98) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Mariusz Konopatzki (192-96, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Mateusz Kulis (208-99) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Pelplin's coach Marcin Radomski tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kotwica have a solid three-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Lancut lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Pelplin lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Kotwica will meet Krosno (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pelplin will play against Krakow and hope to secure a win.
