There was no surprise when 11th ranked Sedmica (2-12) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Podgorica-2 (9-5) 89-64 on Saturday. Podgorica-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Podgorica-2 made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Amar Hot (-4) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Lazar Vukcevic (203-3) helped adding 14 points. Four Podgorica-2 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Novak Pekovic with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Italian Pavle Mijatovic (200-1) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Podgorica-2. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Montenegro. Newly promoted Sedmica dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Podgorica-2 will meet at home Vukovi Zeta (#7) in the next round. Sedmica will play against Zeta (#8) and hope to secure a win.
