The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Barca CBS (18-2) on the court of fifth ranked Granada on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Granada 74-68. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Barca CBS. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Granada forced 30 Barca CBS turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian Andrea Boquete (183-90) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Argentinian center Julieta Mungo (181-97) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Swingman Laia Anducas (-4) replied with 23 points and American power forward Abbie Wolf (193-98, college: Northwestern) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Barca CBS. Barca CBS's coach Isaac Fernandez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Granada (15-5) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Barca CBS at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Granada is looking forward to face Al-Qazeres (#10) in Caceres in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barca CBS will play at home against Zamarat (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
