Regular Season Round 24: Tychy - Opole 101-106

Very significant was AZS PO's (#5) 106-101 road victory against one of their biggest challengers Tychy. AZS PO shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Tychy was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) who scored that evening 30 points and Pawel Krefft (192-96, agency: BIG) supported him with 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 25 points and 7 rebounds by forward Kacper Makowski (196-99) did not help to save the game for Tychy. Swingman Maciej Koperski (190-99) added 15 points and 5 assists. Four AZS PO and five Tychy players scored in double figures. Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS PO (16-7) moved-up to fourth place. Tychy at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. AZS PO will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tychy will play on the road against Dziki (#13) in Warszawa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
