Regular Season Round 5: East Ball - Palangos 59-62

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Riga where ninth ranked Lithuanian Palangos (4-1) edged 8th ranked Latvian East Ball (2-7) 62-59 on Saturday. East Ball was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 17-10 charge of Palangos, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 26 East Ball turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Adrijus Kozys (-6) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Tadas Razgus (-6) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Raitis Spels (196-6) produced 31 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Emils Vecvagars (-5) added 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Palangos have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Loser East Ball dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost.
