Regular Season Round 15: Vukovi Zeta - Sutomore 80-66

The game between third ranked Sutomore (10-4) and seventh ranked Vukovi Zeta (7-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Sutomore was defeated by Vukovi Zeta in Golubovci 80-66. Strangely Sutomore outrebounded Vukovi Zeta 54-37 including a 24-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Zeljko Matanovic (-1) who scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Drazen Otasevic chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Balsa Bazovic (201-98) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Aleksa Mandic (184-97) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Vukovi Zeta maintains seventh place with 7-7 record. Sutomore at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Vukovi Zeta are looking forward to face higher ranked Podgorica-2 (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sutomore will play against Montenegro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
