Regular Season Round 20: Rivas - Zentro Basket 2 98-61

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Zentro Basket 2 (9-11) was outleveled on the road by third ranked Rivas (13-7) 98-61 on Sunday. Rivas dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zentro Basket 2's 32 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Rivas forced 26 Zentro Basket 2 turnovers. The winners were led by American center Julien Sargent (211-91, college: Mobile, AL) who scored that evening 13 points and swingman Albert Serra (193-93) supported him with 11 points and 4 assists. Even 14 points by Lucas Schiebelhut (195-2) did not help to save the game for Zentro Basket 2. DR Congolese center Ken Baoko (202-3) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group D-A with 13-7 record behind leader Lliria. Newly promoted Zentro Basket 2 dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Rivas will meet Majadahonda (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Zentro Basket 2 will play against Quintanar (#13) and hope to secure a win.
