No shocking result in a game when second ranked San Miniato (15-4) beat at home 14th ranked Oleggio (6-13) 73-61 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Nicola Mastrangelo (196-98) who led the winners and scored 15 points. Guard Giulio Candotto (192-1) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Naturalized Ivorian point guard Mohamed Toure (189-92) came up with 21 points and the former international Claudio Negri (197-85) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Oleggio in the defeat. Four Oleggio players scored in double figures. Oleggio's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San Miniato maintains second place in B with 15-4 record behind leader Vigevano. Loser Oleggio dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Crema and Bologna Basket. San Miniato will meet Sangiorgese (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oleggio will play against Legnano K. and hope to secure a win.
