Regular Season Round 19: Mestre - Vicenza 68-71

Important game to mention about took place in Mestre. Eighth ranked Vicenza (10-9) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Mestre (12-5) 71-68 on Sunday evening. It was a great evening for Raphael Chiti (195-99, agency: SLN) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Andrea Petracca (197-97) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian center Matias Bortolin (208-93, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and forward Mathias Drigo (203-89, agency: Interperformances) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vicenza moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Desio. Mestre at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Vicenza will play against higher ranked San Vendemiano (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mestre will play against Bologna Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
