Regular Season Round 17: AIK 2 - Sloga Uppsala 72-84

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Sloga Uppsala (11-4) defeated 9th ranked AIK 2 (4-9) in Solna 84-72 on Sunday. Sloga Uppsala dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to AIK 2's 26. Naturalized Serbian forward Dragan Damjanovic (203-88) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Bosnian guard Marko Vukovic (191-94) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sloga Uppsala players scored in double figures. Valter Lumpus came up with 22 points and Hugo Akerhielm (190-3) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for AIK 2 in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sloga Uppsala. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted AIK 2 keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Sloga Uppsala will meet at home Akersberga (#5) in the next round. AIK 2 will play against Umea 2 (#4) and hope to secure a win.
