Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Cecina (6-11) lost at home to fifth ranked Langhe Roero (12-7) 73-62 on Sunday. Langhe Roero had a 43-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Castellino Nicolo (190-2) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Andrea Danna (180-90) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Langhe Roero players scored in double figures. Langhe Roero's coach Luca Jacomuzzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Alessandro Sperduto (193-0) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Paolo Zanini (197-0) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Cecina in the defeat. Newly promoted Langhe Roero maintains fifth place in B with 12-7 record. Loser Cecina keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Langhe Roero will meet at home league's leader Vigevano in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cecina will play against Omegna (#3) and hope to secure a win.
