Very predictable result when fourth ranked Igualada (10-4) won against on the road 12th ranked Alpicat (2-12) 75-64 on Sunday. The winners were led by forward Nil Baques (195-98) who scored that evening 12 points and 5 assists and center Eduard Tejero (196-92) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Igualada players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by guard Marc Rubin De Celis (188-95, agency: Global Sports Basketball) did not help to save the game for Alpicat. Guard Albert Vallverdu (189-95) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Igualada moved-up to third place in Group C-2. Alpicat lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Igualada will meet at home Almozara (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Alpicat will play against Joventut 2 (#5) in Badalona and hope to secure a win.
